The Stickney's Executive Director & Women's Director
Tom Stickney (Executive Director), Kerry Stickney (Women's Director), Sydney and Nathan-Raegan are the 2nd generation Stickney's to lead ACO. The son of Founders Allen and Alice, Tom grew up in Kenya before graduating from high school in the United States. He attended Ouachita Baptist University where he met Kerry (If you're ever with these two, their dating story is hilarious, ask them). Kerry, a teacher and coach by profession, has put up with Tom's adventures in ministry since the beginning. They have served with K-Life, First Baptist Church Harrison, Arkansas and Valley Ranch Baptist Church before taking their positions with ACO. Tom spent 17 years investing in middle and high school students before making the jump to university work and now leading the ACO ministry staff.
Missionaries & US Staff
Greg and Rebecca (Annabel, Siddalee, Callulah) moved to Nairobi to serve God and raise their daughters. An answer to prayer for ACO, the Mosers connected the visions of ACO and RothemHouse in 2016. Along with the many hours of investing in local missionaries that use this amazing retreat, Greg continues to be a "tentmaker" in Nairobi. Rebecca is the glue that binds the family and vision of RothemHouse together. The Mosers feel God's purpose is completed in their family when they are engaged in hospitality and their home is filled with others.
Whitney is a native Texan who lives in Dallas with her husband Chris and their two sons. Whitney graduated from Texas A&M with a degree in Marketing and began a career in management consulting followed by the switch to nonprofit where she led the strategic planning team for Buckner International. During her time with Buckner, Whitney and Chris traveled to Kenya where they met the Stickneys, were blown away by the work ACO does and had evangelism and discipleship put on their hearts. In November of 2016, the Lord opened doors for Whitney to begin working for ACO as Director of Development and Planning. In this role Whitney leads ACO's development efforts and assists with organizational planning. Whitney and Chris consider ACO and the Stickneys an extension of their family, and are blessed to be a part of the life changing work God is doing through this organization.
Katie, and her husband Jared, live in Benton, Arkansas. For their honeymoon they traveled to Kenya to work with a mission groups. Not until the the following summer at a family reunion (somehow Katie & Kerry are related), did Katie and Kerry connect about Kenya. 2 years later, the entire Clifton family visited the Stickney's in Nairobi to see ACO first hand. Somehow, someway, Katie finds time to raise awareness of the ACO mission between running a successful business, keeping up with 4 kids, being a pastors wife (The Clifton's started a church in Benton), having Bible study in her house each week for 50 middle school students, and advocating for those that need a hand-up in the Little Rock area. In her spare time, she makes a couple of trips to Kenya with mission teams. If you want to connect your church, youth group, plan your own mission experience in East Africa, or join another trip....Katie's can help!
